Brian is an experienced and fearless fundraising coach and teacher. He has been leading fundraising teams for 25 years – at the local, national and international levels. He especially loves helping professionals develop genuine relationships with their donors, helping prepare hesitant fundraisers for meaningful visits and bold asks. He has been involved in closing one 9-figure planned gift, many million-dollar gifts and dozens of 6-figure philanthropic investments in important causes. Working with Board volunteers and Campaign Cabinets is a special joy – the team approach is always best.
Brian designed and led a complicated, federated multi-billion-dollar Campaign for Habitat for Humanity International and is currently facilitating the Strategic Planning process for another large national organization. His strong philanthropic leadership led to living and working several years in an international setting, strengthening and launching Major Gift and Campaign efforts with charities in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Brian holds a BA in Literature from Wheaton College (Illinois) and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Brian and his wife now live in Middleton with two dogs and a revolving door of adult children and their partners.
